Buster, a hound mix with a sweet heart and playful temperament, is a highly adoptable dog at the Lindale, TX, Animal Holding Facility. Unfortunately, his chances of finding a forever home are severely limited—Lindale doesn’t have a traditional shelter, and the holding facility is not open to the public for adoption. The only chance that Buster has is moving to another adoption facility in a neighboring town. He is a patient little pup, and until moved, he’s waiting for his loving family and his forever home.
That’s why MuttNation Foundation, the organization founded by Miranda Lambert and her Mom, Bev, called GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Rebuild program to help. MuttNation has been working with the city of Lindale for years to run life-saving transports to other shelters, but Miranda knows her hometown desperately needs its very own adoption center. In a very special partnership, the City of Lindale is donating an unused government building and large city park as a permanent adoption center.
Once constructed, the new Lindale Adoption Center will host regular events and allow adopters to see Buster and other homeless pets in a family-friendly setting that encourages responsible adoption. Over 20 rescues and adoption partners—including the Lindale Animal Holding Facility—will use the center to save more lives and keep adoptions happening locally.
