Kirbie was very sick at a local shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized the morning after she was received. She was full of worms, was underweight, and heavily infested with fleas and ticks. She had wounds all over her head and neck.
Haven of Hope Rescue Foundation reached out to the shelter where Kirbie was, and a volunteer met them early the next morning. Kirbie was then rushed to their vet where she received the care and medicines she needed. She was very anemic, her gums were white, and she was at great risk. After a few days, she went home to Haven of Hope Rescue Foundation, where she is now waiting for her forever home!
“Kirbie enjoys playing with her rescue sister who has special needs here at Haven of Hope and sleeping in a pile with all of her fur brothers and sisters. She is happy, very playful and active and growing like a weed!!
Rescue Bank continues to be one of the primary reasons our program is successful. The wonderful food, treats and support from Rescue Bank and your affiliates have given us the ability to stretch our resources further and reach additional needy dogs and puppies. Your program has given us the wings we need to reach greater heights in the rescue world. We are so grateful!” – Haven of Hope Rescue Foundation
