Family Rescues Deaf Beagle From Fast-Moving Mississippi River

A Wisconsin couple was celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary by camping at the Big H campground when they came across a lost Beagle. The dog was struggling in the fast-moving Mississippi River and showed up near the Stoneys’ cabin, very wet and hungry. They are unsure of how long the dog was in the river for, but they believe she fell out of a boat or got swept away and that the water of the river went up to the road.

They brought her to a local vet to be checked out and found out she was deaf. They’re unsure if her deafness has anything to do with being stuck in the floodwaters. The couple is taking very good care of the dog, who they named Annie, and is now searching for her owners. Watch the story below:
