This is Frankie. She came to Hearts of Hope Rescue severely emaciated. While they don’t know exactly what happened to Frankie before she arrived at the rescue, they do know that abuse took place. Her ears had been cropped, she had missing teeth, and she had old scars and fresh wounds—likely from being kept in a contained space for long periods.
Frankie ate two cups of Rescue Bank donated pet food three times a day to help her gain the weight required to become the happy, healthy girl she is today! Frankie is now a stable and robust 55 pounds! She has gained confidence and is super affectionate and playful. Even better? She recently was adopted into her loving forever home!
“The cost of food can get extremely high for rescues, especially dogs like Frankie who needed so much food to gain the weight she needed. The wonderful food donations from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank has allowed us to help more dogs by shifting our feeding budget to vet care!” – Hearts of Hope Rescue
