In America, hedgehogs might not be a common sight. However in several other parts of the world, such as Europe, Asia and Africa, hedgehogs can be found pretty much everywhere. The following story is the perfect example that people in these areas come across these animals almost everyday.
One woman was walking in her yard when she noticed something trapped in her storm drain. As she examined it more closely, she realized it was a giant hedgehog. She called the local animal rescue organization, Wildlife Aid to help get the animal out. As workers thought of ways to carefully remove the animal, one man had a clever idea. Using a pair of large tweezers, Simon with Wildlife Aid was able to get the hedgehog out. Weighing around 15 pounds, the hedgehog was given a checkup and then released back into the wild. However, this was one run-in with a hedgehog that this lady will not soon forget.
The unique rescue was all captured on video. Check it out in the video below!
