Lai Lai is a senior Boxer with one eye. She was picked up as a stray for the third time, with a canine sibling, and brought to a local shelter. She was in terrible shape; she was covered in ticks and bumps, which turned out to be a bad bacterial infection. She also was heartworm positive and had multiple masses that had to be removed.
The shelter contacted their owners but they never came for the dogs. Lai Lai’s brother was adopted, but no one seemed to want Lai Lai. So she was slated for euthanasia. She also didn’t get along with cats, but all of that changed when she came to live at her foster home with her foster human, Kicki D’Alfonso.
