Today, Pashuk has finally warmed up to his surroundings and he’s like a whole new bear! He loves eating, roaming in the grass, swimming in the pool and also playing with enrichment activities that staff set up for him.
Pashuk is happy and healthy and his fur has grown in nicely. He’s a big, beautiful bear and never has to worry about being treated poorly ever again.
Both Tomi and Gjina are also healthy and doing great in their new home. Gjina was fed at least 20 beers a day before they were rescued; the alcohol combined with the stress she got from being in a tiny cage, gave her very bad anxiety. Today, she is doing much better and enjoys relaxing in the water.
It’s been five months since the trio was rescued, and they couldn’t be happier. They live in different enclosures, but one day they’re hoping to introduce Pashuk and Gjina, as staff thinks they could make a perfect match.
Pashuk, Gjina and Tomi have escaped their nightmare pasts, but there are still many other bears in Albania who are stuck in captivity and need your help. You can support them by signing this petition.
