A volunteer at Juliana’s Animal Sanctuary was outside on a property feeding chickens when she noticed a small puppy walking around by himself. She picked up the puppy and then alerted her sister, the founder of the sanctuary. She went to check the property for any more wandering dogs and came across a white sack. She immediately opened it and was shocked to discover three more puppies in bad condition.
The pups were only around five weeks old, and were dehydrated and covered in fleas. Someone had separated them from their mother and left them in this sack to die. Thank goodness for the one puppy who got out and wandered around the property, or else the others might not have been found!
They rushed them to the vet and got them their puppy shots and flea and heart worm prevention. Luckily, the pups were pretty healthy. Their recovery will continue until they’re ready to be put up for adoption. If they don’t find a home, they’ll be able to call the sanctuary their furever home.
Although the pups are safe and healthy, they still have a long way to go as far as trusting people again. They are very nervous all the time and are always shaking. But these pups never have to worry about being treated badly ever again.
Watch how adorable they are in the video below:
