A little puppy, named PJ, arrived at Brooklyn Animal Care and Control (ACC) after he was given as a gift and surrendered because his new owner was allergic. ACC called up Rescue Dogs Rock NYC who then took him in and got him into a foster home.
Several days later, another puppy, named Brando, was found alone on the streets of Queens and was brought to Queens ACC. They, too, contacted Rescue Rock NYC who agreed to take him in. The same family who was fostering PJ decided to foster Brando as well.
It’s easy to become friends with someone when you have a lot in common. Both of these pups had a lonely start to life, with no real place to call “home,” but now, they have each other.
They got along so great and the two of them are inseparable. “At first they were a little nervous being abandoned at a shelter alone, but once they were brought together there was an instantaneous bond,” Stacey Silverstein of Rescue Dogs Rock NYC told The Dodo. “They absolutely love each other and all the adult dogs in the foster home.”
After spending a lot of time at their foster home, the two pups have warmed up to their new surroundings and foster family. They enjoy going for car rides, hanging out with their family, lounging around the house, and the cutest of all: cuddling together! The way they sleep with their paws over each other like they are giving each other a hug is the sweetest thing ever!
The two of them are doing great, and hopefully when the time comes, they will be adopted together! At such a young age, these two have formed such a close bond, it’s incredible!
