A Pit bull named Todd was rescued from a dogfighting ring. Many dogs never get out of or survive dogfighting, but luckily Todd was one of the lucky ones. Another Pit bull, named Sally, was used to breed litter after litter, which is very unhealthy for female dogs.
Todd ended up at a shelter and was pulled by Love Leo Rescue. He was then fostered by actress and comedian Rebecca Corry. She eventually adopted Todd because she knew that she and her foundation, Stand Up For Pits, is best equipped to give him the life, care and protection he needs and deserves.
Corry then wound up fostering Sally until she could find her the perfect home. But it didn’t take long for her to realize that Sally’s perfect home was right where she was!
Corry permanently adopted Sally and now she and Todd get to spend the rest of their lives together in a very loving home. Todd and Sally became the best of friends and are completely inseparable. Sally wasn’t too fond of other dogs, but when it came to Todd, she didn’t want to be without him.
The two of them do everything together. Eat, go for car rides, run around and play, and of course nap together. You can always find them snuggling on the couch, literally on top of each other. No matter where they are or what they’re doing, the two of them always have to be touching each other. They help each other feel safe and love spending time together.
Sally and Todd have both been through so much in their lives and require a lot of work, attention and care, but thankfully they will continue to get all of those things in their loving home! Since they both have that understanding of what it’s like to be neglected, they are able to help each other heal.
A big thank you to all of the people who have worked together to save both of these precious pups, especially Corry who has welcomed them both with open arms.
