Tommy Walker was an abandoned little kitten in bad shape when found by a Good Samaritan in a rural area of MO who then brought Tommy to Whisker Stop Rescue. Tommy’s eyes were nearly bursting from his head.
On top of the usual vet procedures, Tommy needed a double enucleation. He also required numerous visits and rounds of antibiotics Whisker Stop could never afford without the money saved from donations of high-quality pet food from GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank program. He also tested positive for feline leukemia, confirmed by numerous tests.
Tommy sadly was in need of a special adopter. Happily, he hit pay dirt! Tommy now resides in the home of a vet tech instructor, who has other feline leukemia pets for Tommy to befriend.
He has adjusted well to being blind, and is the apple of his Momma’s eye!
“GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank & RescueBox program helps our rescue save money to put toward vetting costs. Special needs felines are our hearts, and they can cost a lot of money. Without Rescue Bank supplementing our food and litter needs, we would never be able to help the Tommy Walkers out there.”
